This one is the oldest of the bunch. It used to have a gold foil siameese cat on it but I rocked too hard and it's gone.

This is a 150 dollar Amazon company called Westcreek. It rules. Left it stock.

I liked my first gretsch so much I bought this one for Emerson. It just hangs on the wall in her room at this point. Maybe someday.

This is a 180 dollar Amazon company called Redid. It's my first ever semi hollow. When you play F# on the highE sting it's just goes plunk. BUT ALL THE OTHER FRETS WORK GREAT!!! no idea how to fix this.

Use a short metal straight edge ("fret rocker") to see if that 2nd fret on the Redid is high. If so, get a cheap fret level, fret file and some fret erasers and go to town until it's good. If it's just stuck out, press or hammer it back down.

I just had to do this to a friends chibson Tom Delonge signature and I was so mad at that thing I swore never to work on a bullshit import without a brand name ever again. Got it playing decent in the end though.

I've had high frets on cheap guitars before and I've usually sorted it by putting something to protect the neck (an off cut of wood, or even a book) over the fret and firmly tapping it with something heavy.
