Sweetwater Epiphone SG 1964 Deal

$300 off. They are still $1k for an Epiphone which seems too much, but these have a one piece neck, Gibson Custombucker pickups, the vibrola and they come with a case. Outfitting a regular Epiphone SG Standard with these appointments will cost more. The only thing I wouldn't probably like about this guitar is the Slim Taper neck profile, although Epiphone calls everything Slim Taper while the actual profiles may vary in shape and thickness

It looks great. I often wish that I liked SGs, but they just feel too slim and flimsy to me. Sort of why I really fancy a Yamaha SG. But then I don't think that will do anything that my other humbuckered up guitars do.

I suppose I'm entirely missing the point of an SG. I want one that's more like a Les Paul.

Yes, I agree somewhat on the thinness and flimsiness. It's just bloody beautiful looking with the sculpted horns and body contours.

Your Vantage pretty much covers that ground TBH.

I agree and that's sort of why I love it. Like a grown up Junior.
