Posters on reddit and Facebook are saying that they furloughed their entire staff, and now there are rumors on those same boards that another company - possibly Fender - has bought them?
I am beyond certain that Fender is champing at the bit to get the rights to Leo's name once more.dots wrote: Thu Oct 02, 2025 2:25 pm i imagine they're assessing the level of interest and the key demographic(s) they still maintain. the name still has value, so someone will want at least that.
Personally, I'd be ok with some cross pollination. A Jag with MFDs and bass/treble controls would be a hoot."Here is what I was just told would happen by a higher up in the worlds largest chain-
"They (Fender) are planning on keeping the Tribute series and may even ramp it up.
"The USA stuff is dead- but they will occasionally do limited runs of USA guitars based on previous popular high dollar models,
"Such as Jerry Cantrell, Commanches, Hellcasters, etc.
"These guitars will be marketed as collectors editions and will carry a premium price.'

right, some of the hardware improvements Leo engineered for G&L showing up on Fenders would not be a bad thing at all.

Several years ago (maybe 2019?) Musicians Friend had the SC-2 in blue as the stupid deal of the day for $600. I deeply regret not buying it.Doog wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 1:40 pm They really are beautiful in their clean simplicity; the SC-2 is still on my One Day list, probably soon to be a Never list:
