I ended up fixing this chorus with a friend. We had to replace one transistor that was bent over so far by the plastic-bodied input/output jacks that it snapped a leg off. That was all that was wrong.

I just did this, actually. I got an Ampeg Jet amp for $299, and there was an old SG-knockoff with Singlecoils (Global brand) on the wall for $125 that I happened to demo that was awesome. Total price with tax was $376. If not the used Global SG, I'd get a Squire classic vibe of some sort.

The volume pedal after the dirt is an attempt to be able to dial back for the modulation. The Dano Vibe in particular doesn't have much headroom -- this will get replaced eventually ...

I don't know if you're going to find those features in reasonably priced. Check out the Boss RC-2 to start, it'll give you lots of loop time. Delay/loopers like the Akai Headrush and the Line 6 DL4 are going to have much shorter loop times.

It's an awesome amp. It's been my baby for 9 years. The cleans are some of the best on a Marshall...almost Fender. The dirt channel is warm distorted Marshall goodness.
