If anyone could recommend guitar stores in Scotland for a friend of mine on holidays that would be awesome! He's relying on eBay to find a guitar and it'd be cool if some of you could give me some decent places to check out so I can forward the info to him. He's bought an acoustic off eBay already... personally I think he's a very brave man from the stories I've heard about shipping acoustics :lol:

Anyway that's all my gear (to the right of me) for now. I still have a bit more and I still really want the Bass VI but the Jazzmaster is slowly growing on me with this setup. Also may I say the absolute best guitar I've played recently was a Sherwood Green Squier Telecaster that totally reminded me of Robroe and I think that'll be my next likely purchase after a few sales of personal junk.

not a massive update, but i'd thought i'd stick it up here

the JR will be used for songs that need a bit more rawk or alternate tuning.
still want to cull the les paul clone from the herd. leaving the strat as it is for my john mayer tonez

here's the latest addition to my collection, there's a rather large chip out of the finish on the edge which will be getting sorted with a little help form halfords trusty touch up paint...

How are the Squier P-90s?

The Maverick is so mysterious to me. what does it sound like?

They’ve got a decent amount of P90 growl, but it’s got a loose wire on the selector switch so the bridge pickup cuts out at inopportune moments it’ll be sorted along with the paint by the end of the week. The neck pickup is lovely... a lot of guitar for little money.

I've got a gig planed for the beginning of April so it’ll be getting its first live outing then...

my jaguar jazzmaster, jagmaster on steriods

Uploaded with ImageShack.us i filled all the old routing and routed new routing,, jazzmaster pickguard but cut for jaguar control plates, jaguar switches and capacitors, warmoth neck, i ordered it without frets so i can route the channel for bindings, and pearl blocks, than put a jag decal and polyurethane finish, wetsand 2000 grit, the body aswell but the body was finished with nitrocellulose, although i like the poly better, its a better feel, so went good on the neck, this is the first guitar i have ever done something to and want to do this for other people to enjoy the work i do, i will take custom orders, but mainly for fender guitars, necks and body work, i am thinking of buying necks that are basic and turning thjem into a neck like mine and than selling them, check out some of these pics, i am new here and excited to show some of my work, enjoy

Did you build it with Jag or Jazzmaster scale? There's slight difference in bridge position between the two, and you used a Jazzmaster pickguard…

oh, JAZZMASTER SCALE, but figured it loooks more like a JAGUAR with the plates and mute so i gave it a jag decal vthis is what i started with for the bodyImage

wet anded the nitro at 2500 grit in the end and it came out amazing ,, i learned all this stuff on freakin youtube haha

Also, would you mind showing off the tools and bits you used to do the binding channel and the block channels? I have a dremel too and I'd like to give it a go myself on a spare neck I have lying around, I just don't want to fuck it up.
