Here's a quick way to drain the caps on a Fender and most other guitar amps for that matter.

1. unplug amp from wall.

B. make sure the amp's standby switch is in the standby position (not the play position)

III. Hook a jumper cable (you know, a wire with alligator clip ends) between pin 1 of any ...

On the surface, the Nova is very easy.

Then it has a lot of deeper features which can be used or ignored.

I'd never want to have to change presets during a song.

I really like the level setting ability. It's a great way to get the best S/N ratio. The bypass sounds really nice, too; a good buffer ...

My friend/dual bandmate/practice space room-mate just got one of the non-cut-away kingpins a few weeks ago. He uses it with my Silverface Champ. It is an astounding tone, and very comfy guitar.

I keep forgetting, I have one of these in the garage. It needs a new power transformer, and a few odd tubes. Plus it's been thrashed over the years. Still, I just need to get it put together!

do you find your reverb control is difficult to dial it just a tiny bit of reverb?

my tweed tends to go from 0 to around 2/3 (sound wise). so 1 would sound the same as 2 is

I had the original version for a bit. Wasn't a fan. It was noisy unless it had a separate power supply. It had a level drop on the more extreme settings. But I'm pretty much spoiled by my old Fender with a circuit that I've tweaked to my liking.

Still, if you're not going to switch it on and off ...

I have had great luck with their kits. I use their boards for my pedals. Sometimes I have to cut a trace to change the circuit, but that's just my own personal touch

In general, they go together well, and I've never had one fail on me that wasn't due to my own stupidity.

My Fender always sounds a little weird with zero reverb (when playing non-heavy music).

OTOH, I've heard a "big rock amp" that had an internal reverb that sounded good.

LRCs old FrankenSonic . Not too sure on all the parts but i know the neck is a 65 Mustang neck, it has been refinished in 'Turbo Orange' like its Mustang sister model that i also own.

The Big Black guitar is from a guitar shop in Evanston that built and sold parts guitars. It's just a stripped down, double cut tele style. Nothing special or magical.

The Electrical (EGC) is now his backup guitar in Shellac. His main Bean 500 seems to have been rebuilt or tuned up by Kevin at EGC ...
