My dad had a totally fucked up telecaster copy that he bought for my nephew (who is 2 yrs old and did not like it) so I adopted the poor unlovable thing.

its an INDIANA AMERICAN (the paint job is the only american thing about it) and the electrics were terrible -- if you moved at all while playing, shit would cut out and the pups were predictably dismal.

so I rewired it with parts from GFS, but I fucked up the wiring somewhere and the volume is acting like a tone control, which is not terrible since the pickup is pretty hot.

Damn, I seriously dig that shit! Reminds me of my Fender Wayne Kramer signature Strat.

Yeah I dig it too-- I didn't think I'd love the flag paint job but it looks alot better w a mint pickguard

That is hot. The GFS pickup you've got is the same one I have in the bridge of my tele, and it's a beast.

Get the blank control plate and wire that sucker straight to the jack! AMERITONES.
