Why are they pretending it was made in 1985? And why's it so expensive?

EDIT: also: 25.5" scale length

EDIT 2: it is very nice, though. Love Venuseses. I can see a few in my future if the prices don't go crazy.

What happened to the Robroe covers? I like the aged pickguard, though I would still rather have the seafoam green.

Ahhh, I don't know. I have mixed feelings about the Venuses. For me, 12-string electrics are kind of one-trick ponies. And while I've had low level GAS for a couple of local 6-string Venuses, that were up for sale, I will admit, that despite being Vista Series guitars, they were a little overpriced for their condition (very well used), and I found the pickups a bit microphonic for my tastes (I like feedback, when I can control it, but sqealing's a different story).
