AMPS! DRRI and a Boogie F-50, along with more pedals than is financially sensible.

Now my rig is 100% up and running I don't have any excuse to procrastinate over that home recording project any more...

The Fuzz Factory I built the other day. I'm loving it. It's a lot more usable than I was expecting. I was under the impression that they are glitchy and not much use outside of squeally sounds, but there's loads of nice fuzz tones and a few usable overdrive sounds too.

I'm naturally left-handed but learned on right-handed guitars because I thought affordable lefties were hard to find. When I took up bass I saw it as a chance to learn the 'natural' way from scratch. It was hard at first but I'm hoping it'll be useful in the long run. I'm starting to get worried about tendinitis/arthritis later in life, so being able to swap might be useful. I might go the whole hog and buy a leftie guitar too at some point.

My Pedal collection as of the moment. Funnily enough I got both the chorus pedals for free.

How is the CE-3 compared to modern CE-5? I am jealous you got the CE-3. Get a delay pedal, you'll sound awesome. :)

Funny that...my CE-3 was the first pedal I ever owned but I don't really like the sound of it now; it just sits under my bed unusued. I've read reviews that say it's very 'sterile' next to the CE-2 (and presumably the CE-5?)...it's certainly 'metallic' and very different from, say, an EHX. Interestingly, it's apparently analogue...which proves that analogue does not necessarily equate to a 'warm' chorus sound.

I did find though that maxing the rate and pegging the depth of a CE-3 at halfway exactly matches the chorus tone in the intro to the Pumpkin's tune 'Soma'...which was cool for me because at the time when I was using my CE-3 regularly I was utterly obsessed with that album!

It can be quite sterile, however I've found that mine works brilliantly in a band setting. The tone doesn't overly colour the sound and also provides a little bit of boost which is useful when using a modulation effect.

Love the FF! Got mine a couple of weeks back. I see my Twosome as more of a distortion and the FF more as my "fuzz":

Where'd you get that white pearl pickguard for your '65 Mustang? I can't find one anywhere.

Tis surely. It's given me a bit of confidence too. As soon as I get paid from my new job I'm reckon I'm going to set myself up a bit to make some more pedals.

Think I'll paint all the pedals I make myself in football colours. It seems kind of obvious, those colour schemes are designed to be eye catching and recognisable, so should look cool on other stuff.

It's a made-for-CIJ Fender that I bought off Darren Riley. Even so, there must've been changes to the CIJ Fenders over the years because I had to do a bit of filing around the neck pocket and not all of the screw holes line up. I really ought to get around to do the old drill out/dowel trick but I was overcome with relief that it's as close to complete as it is. The pearl effect looks really nice though!
