Today Matt got the body of his USA Special Telecaster back from the body shop, now refinished in metallic navy blue (black scratchplate). Putting strings on and trying to check the neck alignment, he realised for the first time that on his maple-fretboard neck, the two dots at fret 12 are not evenly spaced in from the edges. That was a WTF moment. In the Pub, Fran wrote:And the rest. Look at the D and G against the inlays and most of the strings dont line over the pole pieces etc.

The strings don't go over the polespieces on the higher strings on the neck and middle pickups. More so on the neck.
