Ovation Preacher

i was running around south bend looking thru pawn shops trying to find a "prize" and came across an ovation preacher for 450.00 if i had the money i would snatched it. its fucking CLEAN! the pawn shop has an add attached to it, and i think he kinda knows that its a rather rare/cool lil guitar since its behind glass and he has the add with it, i believe it has the OG hardshell case with it as well so.... pretty awesome in my book.



and while im at it, i found a tokei telecaster for about 750.00 at the local guitar center, pretty clean as well but i couldn't get to the damn thing, i asked about it and the guy was like.... what? huh? which? its the tele? what? its like a fender? is it a weird squier? huh? you gonna buy it or just play it?

I love those old Ovations. $450 is a great deal for an all original Preacher in good shape with OHSC. the quality is far better than anything else you'll find in that price range...the necks were actually both glued and bolted in those. I own a '68 Tornado and a mid 70's Viper, which is basically the "tele" version if the Preacher is the "les paul" version.

i saw a really nice ibanez roadster II, i can't remember exactly where it was or how much, but the condition was superb, almost new looking, and i want to say it was like an 82 or something stupid.

As I understand you can't see many of these Preachers around, they are quite original little guitars, but I will never buy one without understanding that I really need it
