Sorry for turfing up this old thread, but would like to know if any forum peeps have tried this version of it?

There's one going cheap locally and wondered if it would be a nice fender/gibson crossover that would cure my humbucker gas

You talking the Roadcore? I've jammed on all 3. The red HH, the signature model( forgot the name). Off white with a humbucker bridge and p90 neck and semi hollow with the humbucker and Tele lipstick in the neck. They're nice. Out of all I thought the semi hollow sounded the nicest. They were pretty cheap too. Especially for the quality. The semi hollow I tried seemed like it was already set up. Pretty nice.
