Almost NGD. Just picked up this 2004 MIA Strat from a shop in Florida. Almost grabbed a black with white p/g and black p/ups locally for the tuxedo look. Was a tough decision, but it ended up that I thought this one's more unique with the blizzard pearl and HSS. Not sure I'll keep the pearloid p/g though. I'd have been OK settling for the black/white one too.

Spent a few hours rewiring and sorting out the trem rout on my Strat the other night, previously looked like this:

Now looks like this:

No difference but sounds and plays better...

Band width on my uploader account is 10 for 10 again, no idea what I do that causes this but whatever it is I keep doing it...

Hate to say that, but I like before picture much better. You shouldn't have done that mods. Sorry

Jokes aside, did you change a tremolo block? If so, what did you install and how did it affect sound?

Changed the whole trem for a Wilkinson, made the zing that you get from a Strat a little more full... but the main reason for changing was the tuning stability of the original was terrible.

I don't know how to use tremolo, removed the whammy bar and tuning stability doesn't bother me. My Squier has thin tremolo block and I was wondering if putting thicker block would add a little more balls to the sound, make it thicker a bit.

A bit but the best method I've found for that if you don't use the trem, is sticking 5 springs in the back

Sounds like an easy solution, I'll try that

Hardtail it by adding a block of wood in the tremolo cavity between the block and the guitar.
