Nah I didn’t get the chance as really busy these days with day job family and pedal building

There are also a few out there on YouTube which do a good job even including vintage examples

At some point I will attempt to demo the guitar as is because it does sound glorious and the pickups are very special

😭

I've got all of the footage for a Fredric Effects demo in the chamber, so coming January.. 2023.

Nah, will be out at some point; it's just on my non-work Macbook and I don't have that with me.

I did actually did start to feel guilty about this. I posted it before we had heard if you had tested negative or not and thought, oh shit, he’s on his death bed and I’m razzing him about his video output!

I thoroughly endorse you razzing me on my deathbed in future; it's what I would've wanted

If you can think of a better way to listen to stereophonic recordings, I'd like to hear it

Bought an mij Geddy Lee jazz bass because
1: I always loved the specs
2: Was possibly going to wind up playing bass in a group but that fell through so now I’m just stuck with my dream bass, what a tragedy

Bought a line 6 M13 because
1: I only have 2 pedals and they’re both for dirt/drive
2: I’ve been wanting to try out all the other shit like delays, echoes, choruses, etc. but fuck buying a bunch of individual pedals and patch cables
3: you all seem happy with your line 6 m’s

Synths
Behringer 2600
How do you find the 2600? I've always wanted one and the Behringer one seem's to be a good version of it.

How do you find the pedal? Do you use it with just guitars? I'm considering using it with synths

It’s really good but you need to have your boffin brain on to operate it. Hardly anything is on a switch but it has loads of options for creating sounds. Even thins like the other waveforms are all accessed via patch. Ironically I don’t think it comes with any patch cables lol. It’s a proper set of modules in a box. I had to watch a few videos on it to properly get to grips with it, as I’m far from a proper synth nut. Every time I use it I seem to find something else.

Sound wise it’s very similar to the Odyssey but obviously it has so much more capabilities.

I almost bought that June-60 in the classifieds about 5 times mainly to put together a mini synth board. Gutted I missed it now.

I've only used it on guitar so far! I really like it in a recording context, in a live/rehearsal context I'm not so sure. It's quite noisy so if you're combining it with any kind of dirt then you pretty much need a noise gate. There's also a noticeable volume boost when you switch it on, which I guess is maybe good/bad depending on what you're trying to achieve.

Thanks for the feedback both I think I might be buying the 2600 in the Jan sales and might look for at other stereo choruses as I want to pair it up with the Nymphes

Just realized that I did not sell or, more importantly, buy any musical equipment during the last year.

Instead, I invested in:
A cordless screwdriver
A cordless angle grinder
A new car (Ford Puma)
Kitchenaid mixer
Sofa and armchair
Living room carpet

What am I turning into?
(My son got me pyjamas and slippers for Christmas  )

I need to get back into playing music before I turn 40 (in 4 months), thats my resolution for the new year.

Worst case scenario, I buy more old fart shit, but this time I also sell a ton of guitars and pedals to fund this
