The Vantage and the Westone are mine, the Aria is a more budget model from the same era-ish.

Bolt on neck instead of set, I remember taking it apart aaaages ago and being surprised at the pickups. I think I remember concluding that it could be an end of production mongrel type guitar with odd pickups from the parts bin.

Nice, though, and I love the scratchplate shape. Nice and symmetrical and utilitarian looking.

Neck is still settling into having strings on it. It's fretting out a bit around the 12-17th frets, but I don't want to rush truss rod adjustments. Truss rod seems to be turning pretty freely, which is concerning, but it is still having an impact on the straightness of the neck.

Both special editions:
Blackout Mustang with Rotosounds and Orange limited with Flatwounds. Orange bass was the first time Fender offered the J/P style, before they had created all the different Mustangs they now.

My 2 current electrics, Coronado II and Ibanez 2344 Melody Maker. Just got the P90 put into the Ibanez, custom made locally with no cover, based on the Lollar Melody Maker P90. (also new amp, I like it).

Am I right in thinking those are both previous of mine? It's a good while since I sold them but I'm fairly sure that's the case. Very different guitars but both lovely.

Started reading this thread from the beginning and it's amazing how many photos are still up. Seeing things like Yun's name with the Wangcaster still in his sig...what a throwback.

Anyway, I didn't think this warranted an NGD thread since I know there's not much PRS love here. But I saw this on FB for a steal recently and couldn't pass it up, especially since I can't find another one like it. Quite possibly the best all 'rounder I've ever owned. It's a CE 24 (mahogany body, maple top, maple bolt-on neck) from a time (1999) when you could get a PRS without the stuff that makes for a PRS hater. Well played but also very well loved.

Just repainted my (already repainted) 1967 Mory Jazzmaster copy in white. It still plays sensationally and now it looks good too.

My Dad has a PRS, and it’s undeniably a great guitar, it plays very very well. Really like the gold top.

Thanks, and yeah, it's lovely to play. Lots of PRS haters out there and I understand why. The man himself has long struck me as a self-entitled blowhard. As in like, "I made this company from scratch and it's super famous now so you should listen when I say that guitars sound better with these fancy woods and my own pickups and anything else is junk". The company itself hasn't done much in a long time that has really interested me. BUT. He had some great ideas, and in my experience the way they are (or at least were) constructed is special.

Anyway, I've been cleaning up my office / music space. Put up some extra wall hangers and here's the current crop of things that aren't projects. Had to do an panoramic, it's an oddly shaped room. Looking at it on a PC now, I didn't realize it's so blurry that it looks like it came from when this thread started Leaving it though, as I feel like documenting the state of things so to speak.

Stuck some new tuners on the old faithful, as the old ones were struggling a little. These were what I had lying around to upgrade my squire strat’s stock tuners but kinda needed to sort this guitar out ready for gigging duties.

That's actually its original color! I mean I suppose it's possible it yellowed a bit, but not much. It was a Guitar Center special run and it has a good story. Back then, I worked within walking distance of one, so I'd often go over lunch to see what was new. I didn't really have the money for it, so I left the store thinking well, I love it but it's too much. Later that day I looked it up and it was incorrectly listed online for around 60% of the store price. I went back and they reluctantly agreed to sell it for that, only if I bought it right then, because the online price would be fixed immediately. I couldn't pass that up and sure enough it was back to full price online that night. Anyway, it's one of my favorites and every time I see one come up for sale I think about buying another, silly as that would be. Thankfully for my wallet, that rarely happens since they're not common.
