My plans didn't include this, but spotted it at my friends shop and it played too nice and looked too good to pass up - plus the price was right and only weighs 5 1/2lbs, and I managed to trade even more stuff for most of it. The downsizing continues but this was a fun reward for myself.

I've been on a downsizing mission, recently sold 4 guitars I wasn't using including my 66 Mustang, Squier JM and a good chunk of my casio/portasound collection.

Re: NGD: Watkins Rapier 33
There was a thread here on the reissues of these and I assumed that they had originally been made by Hofner or some other European manufacturer. Turns out they were really made in England. That's truly a kickass looking guitar

These are the new Entwistle venture, the guy who designed the new Tri Sonics used in modern Burns guitars, the Alden and Revelation guitar brands. He really loves those wacky old guitar designs.paul_ wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 2:18 am Yep: http://www.jhs.co.uk/collections/rapier ... e-sunburst
Good score Nick, always loved these.
