Another Mustang Bass (Squier Antigua FSR)

Post by MattK »

I've had to go back to the job I left after burning out - having recovered a bit I realised I badly need money to live on, so I'm finding ways to make it work. One way was seeing this FSR Mustang Bass on Reverb, new, for a lot less than other Aus retailers - and free shipping. So here it is. A really nice instrument so far, I'm looking forward to slapping some La Bella flats on it for the complete experience. I've had a few Mustang and MM basses in the last few years, and aside from the magical 76 none of the others clicked. This one has.

God I'm so jealous! I've been hankering after a new bass for a while, and I'm pretty sure they announced the Antigua FSR like the same week I decided I wasn't gonna buy a bass until after my wedding. It's the best finish for a bass, no contest.

Enjoy!

I always liked Antiguas for the weirdness and the fact that most people don't like them. Beautiful indeed

Thank you. Antigua isn't something I'd buy but myself that does look like you found a great example.

It plays so well! Compact and smooth action. It arrived in the box IN TUNE and with a pretty decent setup, aside from fixing the pickup heights I haven’t felt much need to tweak it. Classic Vibe strikes again, it’s like the old Squier Japan era.
