I could hang with that. Expensive but not crazy expensive.

I think they would have sold loads of them ten years ago, when lunchbox sized amps were a thing. Now I'm not so sure. I can see people spending money on a full sized amp or on excellent modeling. I'm not sure what vmthr value is in these.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what they are.

It's the stoner/sludge amp though, and they're finally bringing back the holy grail (in Pog form); I don't think it's the sort of market who'd ever be using software solutions; strictly authentic vibes only. It's like the 80s/90s equivalent of those TOOBS ONLY, BABY boomers

I think bass players are still into the lunchbox size amp heads. We did our time hauling around SVT’s

Though I think they’re starting to train towards just using preamp pedals and not even hauling an amp anymore

I'd say the model T is more iconic, but that's because they used to be cheap.

It's the sound of Red Fang and the Melvins (live) though.

Hilbish Amps have been selling the beta preamps for 600, and their 200 watt heads are much more.
They also did the preamp in pedal form but have discontinued it. http://www.hilbishdesign.com/shop

Not the worst price. Doom Dads have the money, if not the audience.

Entwisle used the beta’s in the late 70’s too.

Looks like it's $850Cdn... which isn't too bad. Given say an Orange Bass Terror is $1300, or OB1-300 is $1150, and about the same price as a Gain Baby or Dual Baby (which are 100W, not 200W) it's kind of mid to low priced compared to other heads in the market (most with similar features I found were north of $1000)

I think if I were playing more shows on the road, something like this might really be nice for transport and performance
