NGD - The Freshmaker (Fresher FN-281B)
Hard to say which forum for this, it's a copy of a shortscale but has a 24.75" scale! Mid-late 70s Fresher FN-281B ... a wannabe Mustang with a Jaguar trem copy.
The hardware cleaned up pretty well - I think this is about 1977-8 based on catalogues.
Surprisingly accurate JM trem copy (haven't used it yet tho):
Currently the bridge is decked but the action is sky high. I plan to ditch the thumbwheels and it probably needs a shim too.
Here it is with another 70s veteran, the Tomson Splendor Series, and a 90s MIJ Fender Mustang:
Well made, neck is pretty good, flatter radius, fretwork is decent. The bridge is placed badly, every string is a mile away from intonating, but I can easily unscrew the base and place it wherever I like. Also need to get the bridge height down, adjustable only by the thumbwheels but probably 5mm too high for the neck angle. We will see. Otherwise sounds promising, pickup switching is on/off only and they are out of phase.

Yeah! That was some French builder, Dubreuil or similar?

It reminded me of that, but also somehow carries a "90s guitar hero playing a 70s fender" sort of a vibe for me.

"I wanna get a job naming kitchen appliances, that seems easy k'now? Refrigerator, Blender, Toaster....you just say what the thing does, then add "-er". "What does that thing do?" "It keeps shit fresh" "Well that's a Fresher, I'm goin on break" - Mitch Hedberg
That guitar does look to be keeping shit fresh. Good name
