For a second I thought the red tape was some sort of Cool Ultra Wide ™ pickup I’d never seen before lol

Don’t joke about that. He’d be spinning in his grave about the lack of B&B.

I'd normally hate that guard but that looks cool. Does indeed look like a freddyvc signature model.

Glad to see how dark the board is too.

Not a combination I would have thought of in a million years, but it works!

The pickguard looks like one of those stereogram things, like if you looked at it long enough you'd see a ship.

Five years on, a few changes! The Bareknuckle Brute Force unexpectedly worked great for Beige Palace, but didn't quite cut it for Thank. With our onstage volume it was feedback city. Thank is the only band where I play guitar now, so I've been hoping to find something that matches the stock pickup in the Ibanez Iceman I mostly gig with. Gonna try a DiMarzio Super Distortion on for size for a little while. I've also gotten to a point where I pretty much need a kill switch for the Thank live set, so I decided to go even more basic than the single-volume setup. I've swapped it out for a two-way on-off switch. I love how daft the giant minimalist empty control plate looks.

Band practice ended up getting cancelled this week, so I won't be able to put all this through its paces until next Wednesday. But I'm very excited.

I've told my guitar tech pal that we should make a comically oversized plate and keep the switch the same size.

I say go the other way, and make it a big honky horn jutting out of the plate
