An all maple bodied LP would probably way a billion pounds... or at least enough to deform my spine.

This is one of the few instances I'd much prefer a rosewood fretboard.

I think that natural SG is pretty slick, though.

Those are incredibly un-appealing to me, how ever slap a rosewood fret board on that blue SG and there's a possibility I would check it out. Just a slim 2/10 chance.

Raw Power sondz more rock than Studio Mapple, but 13lbs of timber would seem to be more unappealing than a Bigsby'd Steinberger.

gibson sg or les paul with a maple neck is so uncool...the idea sounds cool but seeing it it looks icky.

instead of that 'fenderish' touch they should focus more on fenderish colors for the bodies instead of maple necks if they really wanna attract another crowd.

dakota red sg with white pg would look so much cooler than all those gay satin ugly green and grey blue, gold things

The bound/block'd maple neck on my new Dame Jazz Special V makes complete sense(even with pearloid smudge) because of the natural finish.

These are atrocious, but Gibson has done the maple neck right before.

The pearl dot inlays actually look great in person, mostly because the neck is so glossy and, like ultra said, the natural body.
Also, I think the colored headstock definitely works for the Ripper, but on these new ones it's probably the worst feature.

Yeah April fools was my first thought when i saw these elsewhere.

I think it would be better if the headstock matched the fretboard. Anyway, they don't look nice to me and gold hardware is naff.

i always wanted one of those ever since i first saw that sonic youth clip, it looked so cool !

but the necks on these new guitars they look so amateur, maybe they should me more glossy/darker natural color to make it work atleast on the 'all maple' guitars... like US made fenders and japanese fenders the japanese ones play smoother than the american standards because they're just extra glossy, which makes them look more broken in/older too..
