Got some cables, only thing else i think i could add is a 2'-3' cable to go from the box of rock to the carbon copy

Order is:
Sunface, Mister Crybaby Wah, Klon, Box of Rock, Carbon Copy, RV-7, RC-2, and Pitchblack
now that i think about it i'm going to switch the RC-2 with the pitchblack so i can tune and have loops running
learned the ever important lesson that Germanium doesn't like buffers...

I replaced the stock, way-out-of-speck, plastic pots with some Alpha solid shafts and white Mustang knobs. The stock ones had these flimsy little 1/8th inch plastic shafts that wiggled when you turned them. The volume went up, too - new pots had 10% more resistance and the gain jump was noticeable.

Secret Standby:

I didn't want to drill the faceplate, so it's done all stealthy-like.

This is almost a decent amp now! Just need a new handle, some resistors to make the standby soft-start, and maybe a reverb footswitch.

It's my birthday soon, so I'm hoping to get some money for some new pedals. If I get enough, the plan is (on top of the GT-OD I already use) to get:

Boss DD-3
EHX Doctor Q
A fuzz of some sort, possibly the Devi Ever Bit

So, my question is, what order do I put them in?

Overdrive > Fuzz > Delay seems fairly obvious, but where does the envelope go?

going on the basis that envelope is kinda wah like, i'm tempted to say envelope>drive>fuzz>delay. but there are no written rules.

I guess I could try out a few different orders, see what I like best. I would definitely still be interested in the DD-3. I'll have money in about two weeks, so PM me about how much you want for it.

It wouldn't have shown much. I just desoldered the stock pots (which were PCB mounted) and put in the new ones with little jumper wires. The PCB pots made it really hard to get the board out of the chassis for maintenance, so I wanted to have insulated wire leads that could flex. It's certainly much friendlier now. The standby was just a matter of disconnecting the leads from the PT's high-tap and running them to the switch, then running new wires from the switch back to the board. I need to get back in and do some lead-dress, though, because the AC lines are still a bit too close to the reverb return.

I got progrockabuse's DD-3 in the post today, it's awesome! This is the setup I plan on using to record with my band next week. The amp is a Rocket 15T - no, I hadn't heard of it either (and I can't find any info about it) but it sounds good.

I played around with a GT once, I thought it sounded better then the other MXR pedals. maybe i was just fooled by the sweet green case. Are they any different?

The one's I've played are the GT-OD and the Distortion III. Obviously if they were exactly the same, I wouldn't have forked out the extra cash for the GT-OD. I personally found that they sounded pretty much exactly the same with gain turned to full, but the GT-OD cleaned up a lot more nicely. With the gain low and the tone high you can get some pretty good funky sounds.
