When they first came out I instantly thought of the trendy Phil Kubicki X-Factor basses that I used to see some L.A. bands playing in the late 90s. They've got a "timelessly stuck in the fyooturistik 80s" look about them, but the RBX is obviously from outer space. I'd love to give a go on Yamaha's offering.

I dunnope Fran, I'm always open to guitars that play well. I'd probably draw the line at anything very pointy, and the black RGX is a tiny bit too metal for me, but the white and aircraft grey one seems just right. Hope I can change the indicator leds to some fun colours.

Would anyone call a Squier 51 a Superstrat? I doubt it yet it is Strat shape and it has a humbucker.
a squier 51 has a tele control plate, a single in the neck, a tele neck and a huge pickguard. of course it's not a superstrat.
this has two humbuckers and no pickguard. a fretboard with no markers on the front reminds me of superstrats too.

does a guitar need a silly handle and a floyd rose to be a superstrat?
HERE it explains what a Superstrat is.
Lots of Superstrats have pickguards and single coils in the neck. So if you put a Tele control plate and a Tele neck neck with a Tele shape headstock onto say an Ibanez EX series guitar you are saying it is no longer a Superstrat?
