bronco all the way, and i'd like to see an american made mustang to know how fender usa would approach the project. the american versions of guitars i've played (whether we agree with prices or not) have all been different to the imports.

These were great, Peavey makes good stuff but all their guitars after this were HIDEOUS.

there was a peavey dealer nearby my old house in the mid 90's, and ever guitar they had was a fender rip-off. they even had a jaguar-esque body with humbuckers in it in sonic blue to compete with teh kurdtz which was just released at that time. horrifyingly lame.

My roommate from college has an Ibanez Talman like the one in the center except its transluscent green with a maple fret board. Becoming vary rare and very affordable. I will borrow his Talman and do a demo soon.

I've got the Talman in the center... same colour and everything. It's actually a pretty kick ass little axe. Nice action, the pups are crisp - the neck pup sounds especially nice. Easy on the fingers as well as the eyes. I've been thinking about selling it and modding one of the Squier Classic Vibe teles to accomodate a lipstick in the neck position... I've been on a Tele kick for a couple of months now.

Its a pity that Ibanez 'noodles' model has a silly gaffa tape finish and the other model is'nt quite as close to the Talman.

+1 on the talman. I had a bigsby equipped green one with the p90s and it was deadly. I couldn't bring everything back to Newfoundland when I left Winnipeg, so I gave it to a friend. He said I could have it back, maybe I'll take him up on it, but I've got what I need here, so I'll let him hold on to it for now.

I have a friend whos used a talman for backup for yeeeears. Now he's pretty dedicated to reverend though, I think he just gigs two of those now.

I owned 3 Talmans, I believe I still have one somewhere in the bowels of my closet. They're really light, small, and comfortable. They sound ok but for some reason the jack/electronics on many of the ones I've owned or played were scratchy or non-functional.

Paul Westerberg rocked(and smashed) the shit out of these but he could rock anything.
