i quite like this new pedaltrain

i've always thought them to be a little too steep to consider buying, but i like the idea of this one. mini, compact. great for someone like me, who uses one or two pedals.

they totally take the piss this side of the atlantic. would be cool if some company in europe made these, they could bash them out for about Â£30-40 i reckon.

I think with the gorm board and stuff this would set you back a Â£10

i've got a pedaltrain board lying around, i went back to a cheap cardboard plate covered in velcro..;why ? because it's lighter and lower, pedaltrain is nice in saving space because the cables run underneath etc but i prefer the comfort of the cheap board. mine's bigger than that, it's the pedaltrain junior i think. this one is really small.

Yeah I've considered getting one of these...especially since cutting down my board, nearly half my showman is empty space.
But it's quite pricey and it's only Â£10 more for the bigger Pedaltrain.

I just use a cheap Stagg pedal board. With some foam kindly sent to me by Mr Cowbell, it's a great little case. Well, it's not little, it's the second-largest in the range, and still only cost Â£30 or so.

diago showman for me. I couldn't commit to paying Â£200 for a hardcase pedaltrain.

The softbag ones i don't trust much, why would you put Â£Â£Â£ worth of pedals in a softcase, confuses me.

Everyone always asks if he is Jack Black. I have actually met the gearmandude. I can neither confirm or deny if he is Jack Black, because I dont' want to ruin it for anyone. Keep the myth alive.

I picked up a used Pedaltrain pro with flight case for $200 on Craigslist. Unfortunately, I have so many pedals, I only have room for a couple more pedals. Some of my pedals are large (Line 6 DL4, EHX Wiggler, Boss OD-20), so it consumes more space. My wife told me I might have to get another one eventually when I run out of space.. I love that woman! I placed all my pedals on the board and I am trying to figure out the best pedal placement. I think I need to move some around so I don't step on knobs of another pedal. My old pedalboard had higher shelves, so I am still transitioning. I hope to get enough money for Xmas to buy a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 to mount underneath the board and remove the wall wort. Unfortunately, the Wiggler is tube drive pedal and can't be powered by the Pedal Power2. Probably have to mount a small power strip for it underneath the board.

I filmed myself tearing down my old pedalboard and moving over to the new pedaltrain. I hope to get it on Youtube this week and will post it hear when I get a chance.

I know, but it's hysterical how everytime he does a video everyone brings up the Jack Black thing. I was walking through the Dallas Guitar Show and heard him talking on a cell phone and I knew it was him just because of his voice. He tried to sell me one of his coily guitar cables. Nice guy He did a pedal shootout for me between the vintage EHX Worm vs Worm (XO)

IMO the pedaltrain just complicate matters, I don't see many benefits to a simple box like board other than its in fashionable to own one right now.

Silly holes... ohh shall a put these 3 inchs up or down... hmmm.. cabling thats gonna get snagged underneath or be a nightmare to rewire in a hurry. You are hiding the mess, not improving matters. Instead of closing the lid you gotta try shuffle it into a bag. I've never trusted velcro... so there is no way to chain link to these boards. mega fail for me...

Apart from the weight, a Diago Board is far superior & neater ... even if you can see MORE wires.

Each to there own & all that.
