shit n stuff?

The EB3 is a HUGE salvage job. routed out for lefty, Rick bridge, defretted... i worked with a buddy- we cut pieces of mahogany and inserted them into the body, veneered over, refinned with nitro. the old machines were baked- put on schallers. but i haven't poney'ed up yet to pay a luthier to refret. ha! and i didn't pay $$$ for an original mediocre bridge- i put on a Schaller roller.

the walnut is a looker :)

yes, the Coro has a temporary Jazzmaster neck while i'm working on its USACG neck.

Here is the Avril Telecaster i got brand new from Mickie for $100. Bad camera + shit lighting = these crappy pics.

I had to route the body for a neck pickup, which is a GFS vintage Alnico noiseless.
Pearloid pickguard from a mexican Tele, set-up with 11 guage strings.
Image
Changed the bridge pickup to a Duncan Invader (only full sized humbucker i had laying around)
Added a tone pot with an Sprague orange drop
Image
Added a vintage style Telecaster decal

unfortunately it doesn't sound too great at the moment.

it got left alone for a long time and now i've picked it back up i've realised that it's really really dark.
muddy even.

thinking about new pots.

You try that cap mod Fran used on his Jagstang.
They're known for being notoriously muddy sounding guitars and this mod seemed to brighten things up. I don't think he changed the pots.

Shoot him a PM about it.

Mustangs are known for being muddy??

Or are you referring to his specific model?

I think he means jagstangs.

@reece, what year is your mustang?

@purplehaze, dude you should have left it a coil cutting esquire. an invader would probably sound awesome when coil cut. actually, you might even try just wiring it permanently single coil.

nice dude. I think the late 70s mustangs had some of my favorite color combinations.

Na, I already have one of those Fender FMT Teles with the dual humbuckers, and it has coil taps.
I only bought this guitar to mod, and now it sounds so good. trust me, the thing sounded like shit out of the box!

aye, invaders do, but that appears to be a detonator. significantly weaker in my opinion. it says duncan designed right?

Yeah, your right. I get the two confused. its the $29 Duncan from MF.

Not Duncan Designed, but Duncan Performer. Im not sure if there is a difference or not.

That Mustang is perfect. I have always wanted a '70s Brown with Maple neck Stang.

Good one! :D
