Wife just picked me a GHI parlor guitar from GW for about the cost of a case of beer. Anyway, guessing from her pics is a parlor. Don't know much about acoustics. Anyone know anything about these? Will have to get some strings on way home and set up.
kids guitar from the early 80's maybe. Got some nylon strings for it so the kids can work on their A, D E songs. Was cutting off the old strings and the saddle went flying. Hell if I can find it. Will have to rig something.

Ha, I see what you mean. Well there was a little v groove for the small saddle to sit. Tried to form one, but that didn't work. so I cut a piece of thin wire coat hanger to sit in the groove. Sort of like a 0 nut but at the saddle. Put on some new nylon strings and filled out a high spot on the 4th fret. Works great. Fun little beginners parlor guitar.
i really love the sound that it gives. no frills, just a no-nonsense tone. and with nylon/plastic strings, you don't have the sometimes irritating finger-on-string slide noise you get from an acoustic with new strangs.
i pick mine up nearly 3 times a week, just to be comforted.
