I didn't know you had a triple xxx 112... I sold mine about a year ago. I miss it. Great amp.hotrodperlmutter wrote:

last sunday, the band went into the studio to trying and record a promo disc we can give out to promoters/weddings fairs etc.
took a bit of everything to get different sounds. most of the time i had the strat around my neck. ended up sticking to my tweed, as the planned marshall attack didn't materialise. still using a TS9, though kick on my tonebender for some stuff. suits the strat more.

yes 30 with reverb. clean channel has a fault where after a while it will drop out the eq section and sound like a bad MP3. when you touch the amp, the eq will cut in again till you knock it again. can't be arsed to fix it though.

Is that a Fender Blues Deluxe under the Vox? Opinions? I'm looking to replace my amp with either a Blues Deluxe or a Laney VC-30 for a clean amp.Progrockabuse wrote:yes 30 with reverb. clean channel has a fault where after a while it will drop out the eq section and sound like a bad MP3. when you touch the amp, the eq will cut in again till you knock it again. can't be arsed to fix it though.

yes, blues deluxe reissue. my main amp for about 4-5 years, great for cleans and light grit. can sound harsh at times, depending on what other gear your using. it's a great pedal amp, plus a nice reverb. i'd recommend you try it before dropping the cash, it took me a while to really gel with it.

why'd you get rid of it then?
good to see i'm not the only one who still has one
ah, the old cambridge-itis. i've got all the info for fixing it if you ever decide to. relatively easy, and you can also replace the opto-chip to make it pump at 56w.Progrockabuse wrote:yes 30 with reverb. clean channel has a fault where after a while it will drop out the eq section and sound like a bad MP3. when you touch the amp, the eq will cut in again till you knock it again. can't be arsed to fix it though.

That'd be pretty handy, nice to have back up amp or small practise amp.hotrodperlmutter wrote:why'd you get rid of it then?

In other news, been digging into this nano small stone that thom has kindly lent me to road test. loving it so far, really nice and chewy. great leslie and almost ring mod sounds at higher levels. i miss having something on my board to add a bit of movement. odd thing i've noticed is that it works differently on the mains than batteries. the power socket is a little loose, so i'll give it a tweak.
Mike's Tonebender is back on board after great results in the studio. works well with the amp and my TS9.

the usual Volume > Sun Face > Pitchblack > OCD/DLS > Nova Delay > Verbzilla > RV-7 > EQ > RC-2

The EQ is great for scooping the mids and bumping the bass to make my Sun Face sound like a Big Muff. Im liking the Verbzilla, but i'm still deciding which reverb to keep. I'm thinking a lot will change when the Eau Claire Thunder arrives...
Whichever reverb goes, it will fund a MBM Stereo Small Clone

posted this on the polytune thread, but thought i'd stick it here too. apparently the polytune tracks better being first in line. i've been geeky and stuck a screen protector on it's screen so it stays pretty. plus whacked a bigger knob on the small stone so i can tweak it with my foot. needs a new foot switch though.

Nice dude! $100 is a steal! I sold my 112 for $550. But I also bought it brand new for $800!hotrodperlmutter wrote:that's a 2x12. i don't think i could sell it even if i wanted to. i got for $100.Billy3000 wrote:I didn't know you had a triple xxx 112...
