ever since i saw it in a guitar mag, i've been intrigued at a tele with mini humbuckers and not much else. though there is no way i could afford/justify a real one and forget modding my baja. so, has any one seen something similar cheap or something easily mod-able to get close to it? would it make a good project guitar?

Pretty sure they're not mini-hums, but filtertrons. Buy any H/H equipped tele (plenty of Squiers that do this) and bung in some HB-sized Filtertrons/copies.

i found one pretty close on rondo, but alas, is arched.
surely you could get a rear routed body made for cheap. throw in a dime-a-dozen tele maple neck, some GFS filtertrons, and boom. instant whatever-that-thing-is .

got in one, doog. should have put that in when i made the thread.
i'm thinking of getting an un-routed tele body and the GFS filtertrons. though where is best for bodies online?

Yeah, don't you dare do that to the Baja.

the baja is my baby. nothing happens to that, it's too good stock and has too much love in it.
