Video Blog on the pedal production process. Part 1 is case finishing, all pretty adhoc on the iPhone.

I wondered if you could run a pedal diagnosis on my saltbooster. Whenever it's on regardless of where the level knob is set it has a really bassy kind of fuzz and distortion. It happens even when the pedal is set quieter than the amp.

Just wondered if this is something I've done to cock it up and whether or not it's an easy fix?

Ta muchly.

New builds. Yellow tubescreamer got a bit knocked about in my cycle commute home. I've offered the guy a price reduction or a new pedal build but if he goes for the latter it'll go into Classifieds as a scratch and dent.

This pedal is probably my favourite one you have done yet, it is pure class.

Classy indeed, that one especially looks brillo.

Dig the vblog too Mikey, interesting to see the MBMHQ (mega acronym!). You should totally do some time-lapse stuff making a pedal from scratch, would be awwwwwwwesome. Spesh if the phone was held sideways..

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but I have no movie software that can

A) Support stupid iPhone Quicktime
and
B) Speed up video.

which is fairly gash. Bah.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'll try and make some more video footage at some point of the build process.

A time lapse thing would be really cool, and something I haven't seen done before.

I think Benecol really out did himself on this decal. Simple but effective.

Aww shucks folks - I can't take these plaudits: Hurb had a ver clear idea how he wanted his pedal to look, I'm merely the oily rag dragging these ideas kicking and screaming from WordArtMongPad into Illustrator.

Mike, a lot of people at work use iStopMotion on their iPhones for this sort of thing.

Cheers, looks like I would have to manually take a shit load of photos of one pedal build - but I'm enouhg of a loser to do that.

No no, young Livesley - you can set it up to automatically take a photo every n seconds.

Still, to get any decent soldering stuff it would have to be held up by a person, and noone loves me THAT much

Prop/tripod it somewhere. You can also make it sound activated.

Gawd, you can never just be happy, can you?

Can I ask what Hurb's pedal is and what the Red Meat Suite is too? They all look pretty awesome, I just want to buy Mike's pedals now because they look so pretty.

Hurb's pedal is an IC Muff, and the Red Meat Suite (*shrug*) is a Suhr Riot. Whatever one of those is.
