What are they? They look like Humbuckers, but I've been told they're single coils. So I'll just call them P90's.

Yeah I think they're just singles...
They're totally hollow. With all the hardware out the top seems pretty fragile.
I'm keeping the pickups in, I love them.

Damn. The bridge pickup in mine is all sorts of mucked up. I'm thinking about getting a set of vintage wound GFS pickups to put in it.

as far as I can tell, that pickup is the way the bass came. It has a clear plastic mounting thing, and the cavity is routed to the pickup shape. That being said, the pickup sounds awesome. Sounds just like a typical p-bass. The neck is incredible on the bass too. Just the right amount of THICK. Also, check out the tiny, tiny machine heads.

not far from where I grew up at all, I got out first chance I got, My uncle and his fam live outside of Moline and my 16 yr old cousin gigs ur area alot.... the band name is Speaks Like Silence, they are not bad for a bunch of 15-16yr olds....

he actually frequents a guitar shop in Galesburg, I handed him down a guitar for his 16th birthday and he somehow stripped out one of the neck bolts and had it fixed at some shop there......

it is a small world... I moved to STL and have became friends with about 3 people I grew up about 20 min from each other and none of us met until we were all here in STL

Ohh... oh so nice. Honeyburst, the only flashy Gibson finish I really like. Looks great with the zebra pickups too, are they aftermarket ?

Thanks bro...the LP is all stock, thats how the faded finishes came....Burst-bucker Pro Pu's...this is the best axe I have ever played for tone, the notes are perfectly clear and spot on...and well with the 50's neck there is copious amounts of chunk and sustain

The 50's is thicker, way meatier, gives you some thing to really grip, and since its thicker you get thicker tone too, more sustain..... it will sustain into feedback so beautifully
