Anybody got one or played one. Emailed this seller, but he won't ship. Looking to pick one up eventually for the kids.

It's pretty much the best short scale bass guitar ever.

(provided you change the pickup)

Here's not a review of it but you'll get to hear what it sounds like playing Pixies songs:

I do 90% of my recordings and often rehearse with it. What you wanna know?

There's a lot of love for the bronco basses here. I have a student that has one and it's a pretty decent bass. He got it from his friend's older brother and it was pretty trashed, and had never been set up. So I adjusted the truss rod, and the saddles and made it play better for him and it sounds surprisingly good with the stock pickup and everything. Not great, mind you, but for a cheap student model it's pretty decent sounding. They are a real solid value.

These days I would not tolerate that neck for long. But if you don't mind the unfinished white neck, go for it.

*edit*
Actually that Bronco bass neck went on to become the neck for the Thundercats six string bass, the body went on to Robert Original, not sure what he ended up doing with it.

That neck is wonderfully finished! Spraying a clear on top of maple will generally give you that color. It's the orange stuff that's fake.
