I only use roundwounds on guitar and only flatwounds on bass. I have tried vice-versa for both applications and not been impressed.

My Jaguar came with flatwounds and I thought it sounded great until I switched to rounds. Never going back to flatwounds again.

Yeah, i also use since a long time pure nickels...Ernie Ball or lately 11-48's by Pyramid and they're half the price the Ernie Ball strings are and quite as good!!!!honeyiscool wrote:Short scales need rounds to cut through IMO.
