Well, I'm obviously in the "natural finishes are boring" camp, so here's a pictorial progress report:

I used blackboard paint, by the way. The spunky-looking stuff is some Beeswax Balsam I impulse-bought from Ikea years ago.

Exactly what i did to the Hondo 2 LP Jr that I gave to Doog! got the idea from a work experience lad who came to where i worked a long time ago.
