This is the worst PAS I've ever had in my life.

I am tempted. But I think it's the limited release FOMO that is nudging me.
But it's like 700nzd. Then if I want to flog it later, no one else in the country is gonna pay that, then I gotta deal with americans, shipping it back, tariffs, blah blah.
I am trying to save my pennies at the moment. I might end up making a very irresponsible gear purchase later in the year. Although I have been hankering for a lapsteel.

Lapsteel into L+F ?

Chase Bliss have said that this is probably the most extreme set of sounds they've put in a pedal, I bet you could do some really cool stuff combining the modes, but I can be quite unimaginative.
All the demos seem to have been 100% wet too.

Sounds cool, but I sort of enjoy making things make noises like this when they don't want to. I think there's more fun and new ground to discover that way. This looks like a bunch of interesting presets.

I also think that I probably wouldn't buy anything from them because of how fucking annoying they are in their videos.

Yeah, just preordered one at the eye-watering price. They at least have EU distribution that covers VAT, shipping and such, so should at least dodge any comedy tax.

I'm downsizing the amount of "does a few sounds pretty well" pedals I've bought up over the years in order to have a good stable of "mad flexible and compact" boxes that offer a LOT of control. Sick of swapping-and-changing stuff about all the time when I'd much rather be playing and writing with less choice paralysis.

I’d been eyeing a Hologram Electronics Chroma Console for the same reasons, but the Lost & Found does way more non-traditional stuff, and is half the size, so it wins.

There's something really fun about being able to 'learn' a deep pedal; having it all self-contained makes it easy to get a handle on, but the huge matrix of overlapping options means there'll be some sick, song-defining sounds in there.

I had to unfollow them because of their cringey schtick; trying to separate the fart from the fartist on this one.

I’ve done the same for similar reasons. Might need to get a midi controller though to access everything I want on the fly.

Some of the sounds in this are very cool/interesting. But the form factor gets on my nerves. Especially for a multi effect like this. I've tried a couple chase bliss pedals and they certainly quality FX that can achieve so much but I just feel the layout is horrible. I do still hanker after a mood though.

It took me a while to realise it did actually have (4) presets onboard, but it still didn't put me off as the control-set is a little more limited when compared to their other stuff, ignoring the autism switches on the back. Also didn't initially clock that there's different 'gestures' for each mode when holding the associated footswitch, sick as fuck.

Didn't clock that these will actually ship in late Oct, pisssssss. Oh well, plenty of time to have that clearout.

What is it you don't like about the form factor?

I probably mean layout/form factor.

I think it comes down to cramming too much on a small footprint. Mainly the footswitches being too close together for my size 12s.
The dip switches are really integral to chase bliss pedals and are massively out the way for tweaking once the pedal is on a pedal board. I am generally against alt functions for knobs too.

Despite all of that they are amazing sounding pedals generally.

Fair; I also would like to express my dislike for those particular alt knobs but I'm making allowances for some reason, pathetic consumer I am

Have you ever looked into the eventide h90? Obviously hideously expensive. But would achieve many and more of these sounds but in an altogether easier format? Imo

I got mine 2nd hand so it ended up being more reasonable.

I had the H9 for a week like 8 years ago, but really didn't like the interface, and the buying algorithm things (I didn't really have the money to go for the Max at the time). I'd probably get on better with it nowadays, but I just didn't gel with it at the time.

I'm on a bit of an arpeggiator kick at the moment (taking the Doghands 'bass' to strange new places), so I may well come back around as I know the H9/90 can do some cool shit there, plus presets are always a winner for those kinda things.

I never tried the h9 but the thing looked well awkward. And fuck paying for shit. You probably know this but the h90 has all the algorithms in plus free updates.

I ordered on the last day you could. So...
Lost + Found orders placed after 8/18 will ship late November through December. At this point the only thing we can guarantee is that they will ship within 2025, but we’ll move as quickly as we can.

That said it's coming from the Chase Bliss AU hub (Pedal Empire in Brisbane), so they might have just shipped all the AUS/NZ pedals out to them at once.
So hopefully it'll turn up earlier. I saw someone in AUS got a shipping notice.

I’m hopefully going to get shipping notice in the next week or two, once the pedals hit the EU hub. Ordered day 1.
