NPD: 4 aliexpress pedals

Post by Dave »

I expect you've seen these in various rebrandings. Apparently they are the Joyo circuits. Cost me about 21 quid delivererd. Have named them after what they are supposedly cloning, though the phaser isnt as powerful as the phase 90, judging from reviews. Not tried them yet, I ordered those Z Connectors, "Ryzan" brand, off amazon but they are dogshit and getting returned. Each is a slight V so your line of pedals wont sit flat. Not fit for purpose.

nice! i dig the snug little connectors. wish i could make more use of that kind of thing, but the variance in pedal designs makes that a little rough at the moment.

Those connectors are dogshit by design anyways, and just put strain on the (already no doubt somewhat fragile) jacks and associated connections when stompin'.

Get some of those flat Ernie Ball patch cables and be happy forever; I've not had a single one break in the 4 years I've used em:

Very much this. Those flat EB patch cables are phenomenal.

I just ordered from TEMU an Amuzik Bluesy pedal..
Not proud of it.. but spent all of my pedal money on Universal Del-Verb..
The reviews say/seem that it’s not so bad..
Somewhat of an boss bd-2 clone ?

But my experience with these pedals has been pretty uninspiring.. end up not using them etc.. then buy again one for 10-15€ lame, hope this time won’t be so bad..

Some Youtube “promo” reviews said that the US Dream is very good.. what did You think ?

i mostly use the MXR version of those, but yeah, i do look at those as the best thing since sliced bread.

i guess in a perfect world, the pedals all vibe together symmetrically and stably, and never, ever, ever move from where placed so rigid little (more or less) rods connecting them aren't so problematic... alas, the world is imperfect, and my OCD for order vexes me still.

Talking of Temu and effects pedals, this amused me...

I bought like 10 of these things a few months ago.

The Tube Screamer is whatever.
I haven't tried the Phaser yet but I have it
Delays and Choruses do what they say on the tin
US Dream I thought would be a US BMP, but it's more of a DS1 I think
The OCD rules
I have one of the other distortion things, I'm missing the other. Haven't tried it.
I owned the Tremolo before (the one that sometimes has the Lamborghini bull on it). It was good but I used it as trade bait for something I don't remember.

These are just my opinions
