Re: SUNN BETA MINI OHH MY FUCKIN GODDDDD
I'd say the model T is more iconic, but that's because they used to be cheap.
It's the sound of Red Fang and the Melvins (live) though.
Hilbish Amps have been selling the beta preamps for 600, and their 200 watt heads are much more.
They also did the preamp in pedal form but have discontinued it ...

Re: pictures of your gear here
Nice, I picked up a cheap Korg tape echo last year, and the deal was too good to be true. Asked a few questions of the seller after it turned up and he dropped the comment that "it always sounded great until it blew up". lol.
Haven't found a good tech yet.

Re: Strangz (strings for the g'itar)
Yeah I like a wound G too, and probably tension on the spongier side. but I've been less fussy lately. After doing silly custom things and swapping out particular strings I usually just stick the d'addario D tuning set on most of my guitars. 11-56, and mostly all in d standard. I've got a bunch of ...

Jazzmaster/Coronado Neck Project
Started to pick up parts for my much delayed JM project.
A few years ago I spotted an interesting mongrel for sale locally, seemed to be the result of a Coronado getting smashed back in the day with the remaining parts and neck bolted onto an old Guyatone/Teisco body.
I nabbed it with the intention ...

Re: Anyone ordering a chase bliss Lost + Found?
"Brutal" might be the best description. It has a very distinctive character.
But with the extra synth modes there's a range of sounds you can coax out of it, so it's not just full on dentist drill.

Re: Anyone ordering a chase bliss Lost + Found?
When they did the mystery box, the AU/NZ orders were 300 of 10,000... after a short delay to get the pedals down-under, mine turned up pretty quick.
So I'm hoping if the proportions hold up similarly, I might jump the queue a bit. If not, it'll be a cool xmas present to myself!

I ordered on the last day you could. So...
Lost + Found orders placed after 8/18 will ship late November through December. At this point the only thing we can guarantee is that they will ship within 2025, but we’ll move as quickly as we can.

Re: pictures of your gear here
There's a common fault where the 9-position switching pot fails. So it was stuck on the first preset (orchestra). Maybe I could have lived with it if it were cello or brass!

Re: pictures of your gear here
Picked up a cheap OxEAE fuzz locally. I always thought they looked a bit silly in photos, and they are annoying to try and mount to a board, but in person a beautiful object.
Sounds sick. It even has some nice lower gain clang tones, as you would expect from the Obstructures dudes.

Re: pictures of your gear here
The Meris Enzo is an annoying bastard of a pedal, but the arpeggiator mode is fun. It’ll pick out the notes of a chord you play and repeat them.
Put it in trails mode, turn it off and then you can play over it.
It has quite a few flaws, but that does mean you can score them quite cheaply.

Re: Teeny onboard effects?
I guess you could try and cram one of those chinese mini pedals in there somewhere? Like a Nux/Mooer/Sonicake.
I would assume the output jack defeats the speaker, so you'd want to find the hot wire there and insert them into the signal path.

I am tempted. But I think it's the limited release FOMO that is nudging me.
But it's like 700nzd. Then if I want to flog it later, no one else in the country is gonna pay that, then I gotta deal with americans, shipping it back, tariffs, blah blah.
